There are a lot of predictions out there.  Sales dipped dramatically during the month of April as mentioned in my Marilyn's Market Minute (see the blog on my home page) however, so did the listings (homes on the market).  Therefore tight market conditions still exist. The most common prediction right now is that the market will bounce b back when the restrictions are lifted.

As you are aware, the Bank of Canada reduced its lending rate so mortgage rates are currently great for those who wish to buy a home.

If you NEED to purchase a home right now then why not, as long as you remain safe and keep within the necessary guidelines of looking for a home during this time.

The decision to buy depends on your personal circumstances.  The forecast will not change whether buying right now or in the foreseeable future is right for you.
