Living In The City Of Burlington

I have lived in Burlington since having moved here from Toronto in 1997. I fell in love with Burlington because of the Burlington Waterfront, the close proximity to the Bruce Trail, and the Burlington Downtown Core.

In fact, the picture I have used as my Banner is a shot of the interior of The Village Square located in Downtown Burlington. The Village Square is located in the centre of Pearl Street on the west side, Elizabeth Street on the east side, Pine Street on the south side and James Street on the north side.

Homes in the Downtown core can be anywhere from recently built condominiums to the luxury and executive grand-old homes of days gone by. Stroll through the streets such as Smith, Delaware, Hager, Burlington, Caroline, Martha, Emerald, and more. Enjoy the waterfront from your own seat at one of the many outdoor restaurant patios.

If you choose to live in the Downtown area, you will be close to everything. Transportation includes the 407 ETR, the 403 to either Hamilton or Toronto. the Burlington GO station, and within walking distance to the local shops and restaurants. Two of the best schools in Burlington are Central High and Central Public School, and Tom Thompson, the French immersion school.

Spencer Smith Park is the place to be if you enjoy a leisurely walk by the waterfront, or fine dining, or even enjoying your own picnic (seagulls included) and watching your children play at the waterfront play ground. Dance to live music at the gazebo, or at one of the many scheduled events.
